I’m passionate about my work, as a Sex Addiction Therapist, Partner Trauma Therapist, Certified Inner Child Specialist, Parent Enmeshed Specialist and Life Coach. Knowing how difficult it is to be carrying around the distress of feeling different, isolated, misunderstood and alone, I made the decision to go into this field of work and help others. With over 20 years of experience, specializing in mental health, I founded my private practice, A Safe Place to Heal. I worked mainly with medical doctors, psychiatrists and other therapists focusing on addiction, compulsive behaviors and mental health. This paved the way for the expansion and integration of my private practice into sex addiction, porn addiction, partner betrayal trauma, infidelity, parent enmeshment and inner child recovery work. I transitioned from the medical field and continued my education at the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), receiving my credentials as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and Partner Trauma Therapist. The certifications from IITAP are the most in-depth training currently available for the treatment of sex addiction, partner betrayal trauma, sexual compulsive behaviors, multiple addictions and is widely sought after by experts in the field.
I’ve trained with Dr. Patrick Carnes, Dr. Ken Adams, Dr. Rob Weiss at Seeking Integrity and Eddie Capparucci (Inner Child recovery process). I now have a very large and diverse practice working with individual clients, couples and families, I have helped many work through sex addiction, porn addiction, betrayal trauma, infidelity and narcissistic abuse.
I am an interactive, solution-focused, task-based counselor. My therapeutic model is to provide support, encouragement, offering a highly personalized tailored approach to each client.
